I just came across these images, and felt that I should share them.
In a digital photography class in college, we had an assignment to somehow incorporate old photographs into a digital context (using Photoshop).
I sifted through lots of old family photos, and created imagery and narratives in a collage form. The beautiful mixed-media pieces that the photos are collaged with are my mother’s. She is an incredible artist, and the pieces are perfect for this work. The photos are of my mother, my grandmother, my great grandmother and my grandfather.
Looking back, I wish I had left a couple elements out, but these images mean a lot to me, and looking at them makes me really happy.
Take a look at my mom’s artwork on her website!
(Mumford reference in the title, absolutely cannot wait to see them next month.)
I hope you all had a lovely Monday!
