Tunes Tuesday: Blitzen Trapper

Hey there!

SO, I went to see Blitzen Trapper on Sunday night in Williamsburg, and it was pretty amazing!

I have to admit that I really love their folky material, and am not as crazy about the heavier rock songs… but they were really great live, and we had a lot of fun!  I will still say what I have always said about Mumford, which is that I would love to see this kind of band deep in the south somewhere, and really get the full experience with that atmosphere.

CONFESSION: My dream is to travel around the world with a band, playing the harmonica and tambourine.
… simultaneously.
… and dance around a whole lot.

WELL now that I’ve got that off my chest… (PHEW! … I feel SO MUCH BETTER! haha)
My favorite song by Blitzen is, of course, Furr.  Which is where the above lyrics are from (with a photo I took atop a mountain by Lake George).

Dave and I were gushing over the pure awesomeness of Marty’s hair/beard.

SO awesome. Boom.

Listen to this, tap your foot, slap your leg, whistle a bit.

… OH! & I just have to mention — Blitzen performed THE greatest cover of “Slow Ride” that the world has ever heard. It was actually unbelievable.

I hope everyone is having a good week thus far!
